On February 10, LINA BROCKDORFF, aged 95, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, novelist, playwright, teacher  and tireless champion of the Maltese language, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church.

She leaves to mourn her sad and irreparable loss her beloved children Noellie, David and his wife Audrey, Adrianne, widow of Tonio Mercieca, Daniel and his wife Vincienne, and grandchildren Chris, Jonathan and his wife Vicky, James, Andrew, Michael, Lara and Nicole, her brothers Anthony and Guy Mahoney, her sisters Josephine Farrugia and Patricia Mahoney, sister-in-law Beatice, widow of her brother John Mahoney, other relatives, friends, ex-students and readers.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 14, at Tal-Ibraġ parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 10am.
